New flexible cleanroom protection concept

Consortium offers innovative cleanroom solution with ProTECT

Merkle CAE Protect cleanroom

proTECT is a stand-alone cleanroom system that offers a solid solution for prototype development, as a temporary solution or in an emergency, quickly and safely for different cleanroom classes. The system will be presented for the first time at Lounges in Karlsruhe from March 25-27.

proTECT was developed by a consortium of five companies that have already made a name for themselves with an extremely short-term cleanroom solution for the construction of a satellite. These include Hanselmann GmbH, the Dastex Group, QleanAir Scandinavia, Merkle CAE Solutions GmbH and C3-Tent, a spin-off of OHB System AG.

proTECT is a Professional Textile Envelope Clean Tent that is precisely tailored to specific process requirements. The system can also be easily adapted or extended.

proTECT can provide pragmatic help, especially when investment decisions are unclear and it is not yet clear whether it is worth investing in a stationary cleanroom. But it can also be used as a temporary solution in the event of an emergency or if the stationary cleanroom is being maintained or converted.

From March 25-27, the proTECT consortium of companies will be presenting proTECT for the first time at Lounges 2025 in Karlsruhe. Visitors will be able to gain an impression of how flexibly and quickly the protection concept works in practice and how the cleanroom classes are maintained.

“With the numerical CFD simulation, we at proTECT provide an important basis for designing the respective protection concept quickly, safely and reliably for the respective customer requirements with our partners. With proTECT, we want to offer the market a real and flexible solution. Something that actually seemed unthinkable in the cleanroom sector. By using new technologies and joining forces with leading companies in this field, we are making innovations a reality,” says Dipl.-Ing. (TU) Stefan Merkle, Managing Partner of Merkle CAE Solutions GmbH.
